I was wondering if anyone knew any history on this model tractor. I am looking at buying one for my hobby farm to do some bush hogging and snowblowing. I was wondering if anyone also might know the lift capacity of the loader? I would like to move roundbales once in a while with it. Any info would be appreciated.

The 1050 is a very reliable tractor. What model loader does it have? There are a couple of possible deere models. Or is it an aftermarket one? What size and weight are your round bales? A 1050 definitely will not handle large round bales safely. Smaller ones probablly can be handled if tractor is properly ballasted. One thing to be aware of on a 1050 is the clutch is very expensive to replace. Keep that in mind when dickering on price if clutch does not feel good. Usually the first sign of a worn clutch on these is difficulty releasing the pto clutch or inability to engage pto without scraping gears. ....
